regardless of the search engine or optimization people are using, it all comes down to who they ultimately feel good about working with. They can easily use the JLS site and end up buying with Windermere or Redfin, let's all do our part as real estate professionals and keep people buying and selling. Afterall we have the best real estate market in the country. right?

Ben, you gotta get an iPhone :).

WRT to Realtor's mobile offerings. Realtor has a downloadable app for Windows Mobile: http://labs.realtor.com/mobile/mobile.html as well as an iPhone app: http://iphone.realtor.com/#home

Matt - thanks for the heads-up re: Redfin. It was actually your comment on the forum I was alluding to. True, other phones may certainly provide a more usable experience.

I didn't include Zillow or Trulia since neither provide comprehensive MLS listings. I just pulled Realtor.com up on my Treo...pretty much unusable.

Redfin hasn't done anything around mobile yet. However, while we're last on your Treo I think we'd fair better on an iPhone.

The reason we haven't prioritized mobile yet is because when we survey our user base about what to do next it is consistently the lowest ranked feature.

Also, Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com, all who have mobile optimized versions of their site might take issue with not being included :).

I'm a little disappointed we weren't included (although I can guarantee that Estately will be pretty slow / non-functional on your phone).

Technically, I don't work for John L. Scott, but your point is taken. I am affiliated with John L. Scott which is clearly indicated on the "About" page. The reason why I ranked JLS mobile #1 is because it's the only brokerage to offer a mobile-based home search option, which is not really a fair comparison to the others, though Windermere's site was more than adequate.

Since you personally work for John L. Scott, I think a disclaimer is in order.
